Monday January 23 Edmonton Blues Festival Producer Cam Hayden was named Canada’s “Blues Booster of the Year” at the 20th annual Maple Blues Awards, Canada’s celebration of the blues. The award recognized Hayden’s contributions in both broadcasting (39 years at CKUA Radio Network) and producing live blues shows since 1988. “A big thanks to to all the incredible performers I’ve had the privilege of working with over the years”, said Hayden, “And of course all the people who bring live shows to fruition…volunteers, professionals, and of course, the fans.” Hayden is pictured here with legendary blues personality Holger Peterson (left), at the Maple Blues Awards in Toronto’s Koerner Hall, where Awards ceremonies were held.
